Barcelona receive €11m from Fati move to Monaco

Barcelona finalised Ansu Fati’s permanent transfer to AS Monaco for €11 million.

The deal triggers immediate financial relief for Barcelona, easing La Liga’s salary cap constraints. Monaco completed the paperwork before the Spanish transfer window closed.

Fati, 21, joined Monaco on a five-year contract. Barcelona retained a 20% sell-on clause in the agreement.

La Liga’s financial regulations required Barcelona to offload high-earning players. The club listed Fati among players available for transfer.

Monaco’s sporting director Théo Hernandez confirmed the move via club channels. Barcelona sporting director Deco finalised the transfer details.

The €11m will support Barcelona’s ongoing squad restructuring under manager Hansi Flick.
