FC Twente seeks Gjivai Zechiël from Feyenoord

FC Twente have indicated they will pursue Gjivai Zechiël this summer. The 20‑year‑old midfielder is currently on loan at FC Utrecht from Feyenoord and is expected to return to Rotterdam after the season’s playoffs.

Zechiël’s loan spell at FC Utrecht runs until the end of the Dutch league’s play‑off phase. Upon completion, his registration reverts to Feyenoord, giving the Rotterdam club control over his future.

Twente plan to approach Feyenoord directly to discuss a possible transfer. The club described Zechiël as a “top candidate” to strengthen their midfield options.

Zechiël, born in 2004, has featured for Feyenoord’s youth teams before stepping up to senior football. His performances at Utrecht have drawn attention from several Eredivisie sides.

Feyenoord have not publicly commented on any potential move, but retaining the player until the play‑offs suggests they are awaiting the season’s conclusion before making decisions.

The summer transfer window opens on 1 July, providing Twente with a window to negotiate a permanent deal if both clubs reach an agreement.
