Feyenoord close to sealing Ferri deal as medical looms ahead of summer window
Feyenoord are set to complete the signing of 21‑year‑old striker Nacho Ferri, with a medical exam scheduled after KVC Westerlo granted permission, and an estimated €8 million fee on the table.
KVC Westerlo gave permission for Ferri to undergo medical tests, a prerequisite before the deal can be finalised. The transfer fee is reported to be around eight million euros.
Ferri previously moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to Westerlo for about €1.5 million last summer. He recorded 11 goals and four assists in 37 appearances for Westerlo last season.
Ferri has one cap for Spain Under‑19. He has not featured in Westerlo training this week as he awaits the move to De Kuip.
Feyenoord are searching for a new striker because Ayase Ueda and Casper Tengstedt are both listed as potential departures. Ueda is attracting interest from clubs in England and Germany, suggesting the club hopes to offload him. The expectation is that the Ferri deal will be sealed after the weekend.
Recent days saw bonuses and a possible sell‑on percentage negotiated. Ferri had already reached a personal agreement with Feyenoord, meaning the medical is the final step.
