Real Madrid could earn €2m from Obrador sale

🇮🇹 8 June 2026

Real Madrid are monitoring Rafael Obrador’s possible transfer to Roma, a Champions League‑bound side. The deal could provide the Spanish giants with a financial injection.

Real Madrid agreed to sell Obrador to Benfica last summer while retaining 50 % of his economic rights. The clause ensures the Spanish club benefits from any future increase in his value.

Obrador was loaned to Torino in the January window, where he earned regular Serie A minutes. His performances in Italy elevated his market profile across Europe.

Roma are tracking Obrador as a left‑back option ahead of next season. If the Italian side pays the €4 million fee, Real Madrid would receive €2 million thanks to the retained‑rights clause.
