Arsenal eye Chilean winger Dario Osorio as title chase continues

🇬🇧
Eight goals and ten assists this season have put 22‑year‑old Dario Osorio on Arsenal’s radar. The Chilean winger, who has featured in 25 matches for his national side since 2022, is being monitored by the Gunners’ technical staff amid their recent Premier League triumph. FC Midtjylland technical director Kristian Kjaer told the media that Arsenal are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Osorio. He added that Bournemouth had previously looked at the player and that other English sides are also interested. Kjaer highlighted Osorio’s hard‑working mentality, noting his defensive transition runs and top speed as outstanding. He described the left‑footed right winger as capable of operating on both flanks and called him a “full package” comparable to a young Alexis Sanchez. The Gunners’ recent Premier League title, Kjaer said, could shift their transfer priorities ahead of the summer window. He suggested Arsenal may focus on retaining their position rather than adding a long‑term prospect. In the Danish Superliga, Osorio has recorded eight goals and ten assists this season, demonstrating his offensive contribution. Since his debut in 2022, he has earned 25 caps for the Chilean national team. Acquiring a 22‑year‑old winger with no experience in Europe’s top‑five leagues would represent a longer‑term building move for Arsenal. Kjaer implied that such a signing might conflict with the club’s immediate post‑title objectives. Kjaer concluded that the outcome remains uncertain, saying “we will see where it all ends up.” The Chilean’s next step could involve Arsenal, another Premier League club, or a different destination altogether.
