Roma and Porto circle Greenwood and Tavares as transfer chess continues
Serie A’s top clubs remain active on the transfer market as Milan finalise deals and rivals push for their own targets. The Rossoneri are set to complete the signing of Mario Gila after beating competition from Napoli and Atalanta, with the Spaniard joining the Diavolo on a permanent deal.
Juventus continue to pursue Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, though their initial offer was rejected for being too low. The Bianconeri are now preparing a new proposal involving a paid loan with an option to buy, aiming to demonstrate their commitment to a permanent transfer.
Barcelona are monitoring Rafael Leão as a potential reinforcement for their attack. According to reports, Milan would accept a fee between €60 million and €70 million for the Portuguese forward, well below his €150 million release clause. Leão has also expressed interest in testing himself in La Liga or the Premier League.
Juventus revives Goretzka pursuit as Serie A’s summer window heats up
Inter Milan are considering alternatives to Trevoh Chalobah after negotiations with Chelsea stalled. The Nerazzurri value the defender at €35 million, but talks are expected to be protracted. In the meantime, they are not ruling out exploring other options if the deal fails to progress. Roma have reached a broad agreement with Mason Greenwood on wages for a four-year deal worth €5 million net per season. However, the transfer remains incomplete as negotiations with Olympique Marseille are not as advanced as previously suggested. Marseille’s high financial demands and competition from Atlético Madrid and Fenerbahçe add further complications. Porto are pushing for Nuno Tavares’ move from Lazio, with coach Farioli personally involved in the pursuit. Lazio value the defender at around €20 million, with 35% of any future resale due to Arsenal. The Biancocelesti need to raise funds and do not consider any player untouchable at left-back, where Luca Pellegrini’s future is also uncertain despite his contract running until 2027. Fiorentina have denied interest in Christ Inao Oulaï, the Ivorian talent, after reports suggested a possible move for the young player.
