Bernardo Silva gets formal bid from European giant after City exit
Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has received his first formal offer since leaving the club at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The Portuguese international, who ended his seven-year spell at City in June, is a free agent. His contract expired without renewal.
German club Bayern Munich tabled a concrete proposal this week. Negotiations are ongoing between Silva’s representatives and Bayern’s sporting director.
Silva, 29, featured 242 times for City, scoring 45 goals and providing 58 assists. He won six Premier League titles and the 2023 Champions League with the club.
Bayern’s move follows interest from Serie A side Inter Milan earlier in the summer. No further updates on those discussions have been provided.
Silva is expected to finalize his next club before the FIFA World Cup squad announcement.
