Edward Still appointed head coach of RAAL La Louvière

🇧🇪 21 May 2026

Edward Still, 35, has been appointed head coach of RAAL La Louvière. He signed a three‑year contract with the Hainaut first‑division side. The announcement came shortly before the end of the Relegation Play‑offs.

The English‑Belgian coach had only taken charge at Watford FC two and a half weeks earlier. His brief spell in England adds to his diverse coaching résumé. Still’s move returns him to Belgian football.

RAAL La Louvière announced the departure of Frédéric Taquin after nine seasons in charge. The club thanked Taquin for his proven services. His exit created the vacancy that Still now fills.

Following Taquin’s exit, Still was immediately presented as the leading candidate to succeed him. Club officials highlighted his recent experience and tactical knowledge. The appointment was confirmed after a swift selection process.

The three‑year deal ties Still to the club until 2027. No transfer fee was mentioned, as the appointment involved a coaching contract. The terms were disclosed by the club in a brief statement.

RAAL La Louvière competes in Belgium’s first division, based in the province of Hainaut. The club aims to stabilise its league position after a challenging season. Still inherits a squad looking to improve its standing.

Looking ahead, Still will prepare the team for the upcoming campaign. His experience from Watford and previous roles is expected to shape the club’s tactics. Fans will watch closely as the new coach implements his vision.
