Rodri Returns in City’s FA Cup Win, Aims for World Cup

🇬🇧

Rodrigo Hernández, the Spanish midfielder of Manchester City, returned on Saturday in the club's FA Cup victory over Chelsea and says he expects to be fully fit for the upcoming World Cup. The win came in the competition that provides the second trophy of the season for Pep Guardiola's side.

Rodri had missed his previous five matches because of a problem in his groin. The injury kept him out of the squad for those fixtures.

Manchester City defeated Chelsea 0-1 in the FA Cup tie. The narrow margin secured the victory for the English club.

The triumph marks the second title City has captured this campaign. It adds to the successes achieved under manager Pep Guardiola.

Following his return to the pitch, Rodri expressed confidence in his physical condition. He believes he will be at 100 percent for the World Cup.

Looking ahead, the midfielder will aim to join the Spanish national team for the tournament. His fitness will be a key factor for his World Cup involvement.
