Robbie Ure's rise: from Anderlecht's fringe to Ligue 1 interest
Robbie Ure, the former RSC Anderlecht prospect, has become a hot prospect for Ligue 1 clubs after a prolific spell at Swedish side Sirius. Strasbourg, Olympique Lyonnais and OGC Nice are reported to be monitoring the 27‑goal striker as he approaches the summer transfer window.
Ure scored 12 goals in 39 appearances for RSCA Futures over two seasons. His senior debut for RSC Anderlecht was limited to a single minute in the final match of the 2024/2025 season against Antwerp. The following summer, RSC Anderlecht transferred him to Sirius for €750,000, setting a record as the Swedish club’s most expensive incoming transfer.
At Sirius, Ure has already netted 27 goals in 46 matches. His form has drawn attention from clubs in multiple leagues. He also holds Ukrainian sporting nationality and is being discussed for a first‑team call‑up by both Scotland and Ukraine.
Last summer, Red Bull Salzburg, Al Ahly and Ukrainian side Polissya Zhytomyr attempted to sign him, but he remained in Sweden. L’Equipe RC Strasbourg, a Conference League semi‑finalist, is keen to sign him to cover the long‑term injury to Argentine forward Joaquin Panichelli. Panichelli is expected to miss the rest of the civil year after an anterior cruciate ligament rupture.
Olympique Lyonnais and OGC Nice have also entered the race for Ure’s signature. RSC Anderlecht now faces questions over its handling of Ure and fellow prospect Keisuke Goto. The club’s earlier difficulties with Kasper Dolberg at Sporting illustrate the challenges of managing contracted players.
