Roma eyes €50m striker Romulo
Roma has added Leipzig's Romulo to their transfer shortlist, valued at around €50 million. The Giallorossi are monitoring the transfer market for a new backup for Malen. Romulo, a 2002-born Brazilian striker, has been linked with a move to the capital in the last few hours.
According to reports, other clubs, including Galatasaray, are also interested in the striker. Galatasaray is reportedly pushing to bring the striker back to Turkey after his time at Goztepe.
The potential arrival of a new center forward, however, depends on the departures. Before making a move for a striker, Roma will need to clarify the future of Artem Dovbyk, who is not part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans.
The Ukrainian striker continues to have admirers, with Betis and Genoa having expressed interest in him in recent weeks. Only after his departure has been finalized will the Giallorossi club be able to focus on a replacement.
Roma's interest in Romulo is a sign of their intent to strengthen their squad. The transfer market is heating up, and Roma is not the only club looking to make a move for the Brazilian striker.
