Tottenham and Inter chase Union SG’s Anan Khalaili

Union SG’s prized defender Anan Khalaili is now the subject of a three-way transfer battle involving Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan. The Brussels club had previously expected Khalaili to leave for Italy, but the arrival of Spurs has complicated the situation.

Inter Milan has now entered the fray, viewing Khalaili as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries. Union SG, meanwhile, is pushing for a fee of at least four times what they paid for him in 2022.

Union SG originally signed Khalaili from Maccabi Haifa for €6.5 million, making him their record signing at the time. His current market value stands at €18 million, and the club is aiming to exceed that figure.

Khalaili still has two years left on his contract with an option for an additional season. Reports suggest he has already reached a personal agreement with Napoli, though a club-level deal remains unresolved.

Tottenham Hotspur has now emerged as a serious contender, with The Spurs reportedly keen to add Khalaili to their squad. Union SG is reportedly prepared to pit interested clubs against each other to drive up the price.

Union SG’s strategy of signing undervalued players and selling them at a profit appears to be in play once again this summer. Khalaili’s potential departure would mark another high-profile exit from the Belgian club.

The coming days and weeks will be crucial as Union SG seeks to maximize Khalaili’s transfer value. The club is reportedly aiming for a fee well above €15 million, with multiple clubs now monitoring the situation closely.
